C. Scott M. Shepherd, B.A. (Hons.), MBA, CITP ( Advisory Chairman, Quadralink Global Services)
Born in Ontario, Canada and educated at the University of Toronto and Dalhousie University, Mr. Shepherd has been extensively involved in exports throughout his business career. He has worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Export Development Corporation, Imperial Chemical Industries PLC and Trafalgar House PLC, as well as a stint as Chief Financial Officer with the Nexus group of Companies in Burnaby, B.C. Canada.
As President and founding director of NORTHSTAR, Mr. Shepherd is very involved with the promotion and support of small and medium sized exporters in Canada. NORTHSTAR Trade Finance Inc. brings together the export strengths of the Federal Government through the Export Development Corporation and Western Economic Diversification, the Provincial Government of British Columbia, and the private sector through Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Canada, HSBC Bank Canada and National Bank of Canada. He is the Chair, BC Provincial Committee, Canadian Armed Forces Liaison Council; Director and Chair of Audit Committee Pender Financial Group Corporation; Governor, Dalhousie University;: Governor, York House School; Honorary Consul of Uruguay for British Columbia and Alberta; National Arts Centre Foundation BC Strategy Council Member; Director and Chair of Audit Committee, Ridley Terminals, a Federal Crown Corporation appointed May 2008; Past National Director and Member of Audit Committee, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters; Past Governor, BC Institute for Studies in International Trade; Past Vice-Chair and Trustee, Richmond Hospital Foundation ; Past Director and Chair of Audit Committee MDS Aero Support Corp.
Stephen C. Millen (President and CEO) Mr. Millen's 35 year business career has covered sales, marketing and management in the automobile, investor relations, securities and electronic security business. He is currently Managing Director of Worthington Partners, a Marketing and Corporate Communications consultancy. From 1993 to 2006 Mr. Millen was part of the management team of ADT Security Services Canada, Inc. including 2001 to 2006 as Vice-President, Marketing and Public Relations and was a founding member of the ADT Global Marketing Team. Prior to that, Mr. Millen served as an Officer and Director of several public companies focusing on general management, business development and investor relations. During that time he also obtained his Registered Representative designation and was employed in the brokerage industry.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Past Chair of the Delta Hospital Foundation, a Provincial Director of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council, a member of the Board of Directors and Past President of the St. George’s School Georgian’s Alumni Association and a former Director of the BC Yukon Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Phi Nguyen (Executive Vice-President and COO) – Phi has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development. Throughout his career he has successfully developed and implemented strategic business solutions that have resulted in excellent operational relationships and provided both the client and supplier excellent returns. As the co-founder and visionary behind QGS, Phi understands the importance of developing sound business relationships between organizations and he uses his capabilities and experience daily to work with executives of QGS’s suppliers and partners to make these relationships a reality.
Yet Ngo – Co-founder and managing partner of Memory Express Computer Products Inc., a hardware and software retail/distribution company with annual gross revenue in 2007 of over $85 Million. Memory Express has achieved elite partner status with many vendors such as Intel, Microsoft, and AMD.
Peter Denis (Corporate Counsel) – A member of the Quebec Bar Association for 25 years and a senior executive, board member and consultant to numerous industries ranging from high tech to health care to professional sports, Peter brings a wealth of business and legal experience to the QGS team.
